Diego Olivares Picasso
Wildlife Photographer – Puma Tracker & Naturalist Guide at Far South Expeditions
Born in Santiago, Chile, Diego is a naturalist guide with a deep commitment to wildlife conservation. Introduced to the natural world at an early age by his parents, he developed a strong respect for the environment that continues to shape his work today. He now lives in Puerto Natales, where the Chilean Patagonia serves as a constant source of inspiration.
For the past five years, Diego has focused on tracking and observing native wildlife, with a specialization in the pumas of Torres del Paine National Park. For him, each excursion is an opportunity to connect travelers with this iconic feline and to promote greater awareness of Patagonian wildlife.
Diego is also a nature photographer, using imagery as a powerful educational and conservation tool, sharing both the beauty and the fragility of the ecosystems he explores every day.
