Diego Tureo
Naturalist & Birding Guide
Born in Puerto Montt and raised in Punta Arenas, Diego is a naturalist guide whose passion for the natural world began while working in Torres del Paine National Park. There, he developed his first skills in understanding Patagonian ecosystems and wildlife observation, setting the foundation for his professional path.
Over the years, Diego has dedicated his work to exploring and observing Patagonia’s biodiversity, with a particular focus on birds. This passion has also taken him to other regions of South America, where he has sought to discover new species and their habitats.
Currently, in his role as a naturalist guide, Diego focuses on helping visitors interpret the landscape, flora, and fauna around them. His main strengths include bird and wildlife observation, along with safely accompanying travelers in natural environments. His goal is to inspire a genuine appreciation for the ecosystems of the southern regions.
