Holding on to what’s left of an Austral Thrush it dispatched earlier in the morning, a young Aplomado Falcon, Falco femoralis watches from a perch as it gets the last bits of flesh.
A fast-flying falcon that catches birds in mid-air, it frequents a variety of open habitats from the Patagonian Steppe to the high Andean Plateau in southern South America.
