Soaring above the cold waters of the Humboldt Current in the southeastern Pacific, a Pink-footed Shearwater, Ardena creatopus flies by our boat during a pelagic birding trip off the coast of Valparaiso, in Central Chile. Present in the Pacific from Alaska south to Patagonia, its only breeding colonies are in islands off the coast of central-southern Chile, which makes it a breeding endemic to the Country.
