Constanza Alarcón
Marine Biologist | Naturalist Guide & Content Creator
Constanza was born in Punta Arenas, in the heart of Chilean Patagonia. From a young age, her first encounters with nature took place in the Magellan Straits, where she observed Peale’s Dolphins, as well as in the Nahuelbuta mountain range during family outings. It was in the Patagonian Fiordland where her fascination with nature, especially marine life was awakened, leading her to study marine biology at Concepción University. There, she joined coastal birdwatching groups in the Biobio region and whale watching outings in Caleta Chome, deepening her connection to the natural world.
Throughout her career, Constanza has been part of several scientific projects focused on the bio-acoustics and ecology of cetaceans. One of her favorite things is to be in the field and carrying out wildlife observation, searching for cetaceans and birdwatching.
Currently, Constanza works as a content creator for our website and develops field materials. Additionally, she is a naturalist guide specializing in birdwatching and whale-watching, sharing her passion for wildlife and respect for ecosystems with our guests in every expedition.
