Risk Management

Risk reduction

1. The risks existing on each activity will be thoroughly identified, such as transfers, daily activities and itineraries, group size, places to visit, potential crowds and events, restrictions of certain services, etc.

2. Information will be gathered according to the potential risks and suppliers, authorities and specialists will be approached and consulted.

3. An on-site risk assessment will be conducted to draw conclusions.

4. A contingency risk treatment plan will be designed according to the conclusions.

5. The implementation of the designed contingency plan will be planned, coordinating actions with service providers, authorities, other guides, etc.

Risk Treatment Plan

Minimum Measures for Nature Activity in the Field

Steps to follow

1. Avoid physical contact both between guide and client and with other guides, drivers, providers or suppliers or personnel who interact with the guide, in the initial or farewell greetings and during the development of the activities.

2. Keep and maintain the social distance recommended by the health authorities, whenever possible, and wear a mask when there is no possibility of maintaining that distance.

3. There will be duly identified bags for disposal of pathogen residues (masks, gloves, etc.)

4. Disinfect reusable masks after each use, with the appropriate products for each use.

5. Frequently disinfect personal items with soap and water or a disinfecting solution.

6. Avoid, as far as possible, sharing work equipment and devices with clients, if not, they should be disinfected before handing it over to the client and vice versa.

7. Wash your hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, and if this does not exist or is impossible for reasons of environmental conservation, use an approved disinfectant solution.

8. If the guide experiences any of the symptoms of the disease, he must refrain from providing the service, and the SARS-VOC-2 response protocol will be carried out. The guide will be replaced.

1. Coordination with Tourism Service Providers

The guide must have a beforehand coordination with the different providers in order to avoid crowds upon arrival of the group, for example:

1. Sending the previous list of customer documentation, with a copy of the passport and the country entry document (PDI document) in digital format to the hotels if they are foreign customers.

2. Handling out the keys to the rooms inside the vehicle, in the event that they are brought to your accommodation. The suitcases will be the passenger’s responsibility, in case of not being able to transport them, the guide or driver will be asked to transfer them, but all hygienic-sanitary measures and the obligatory use of approved gloves will be used.

3. Accessing the sites of interest of the activities in planned stages.

4. For the use of transport vehicles, the company will verify and ensure the correct use of means of transport according to current provisions of the national health authority in relation to the number of customers per vehicle and the disinfection protocol before, during and after their use. You will be asked not to exchange seats during transfers.

5. In the case of local food providers, the company will verify and ensure that the correct food handling and handling protocols are carried out according to the directives of the health authority. For food in gastronomic establishments, the protocols of the corresponding authority will apply, being the responsibility of the company to verify that in these establishments the sanitary and hygiene conditions are met.

6. For the use of common facilities in protected wild areas of the state, the protocols issued by park and wildlife authorities (CONAF & SAG) will be respected at all times.
